Welcome....

Welcome to the home of Felling Fly Fishing Club, one of the top angling clubs in North East England. Established since 1984, the club has moved forward a long way since then to offer members an excellent and extensive range of fishing opportunities. Despite the clubs name all legal fishing methods are alowed where local rules allow so if you prefer to Spin, Worm or even Shrimp (on some of our waters) you can.

Our river fishing covers approximately fifteen miles of lengthy beats throughout Northumberland and Co. Durham on the rivers North Tyne, Coquet, Wear and the Till. On top of the river fishing we have one Stillwater fishery, Rothley Lake East in Northumberland which is stocked regularly with rainbow trout at around the 2lb mark with several stockings of 3lb to 5lb fish.
Our river fishing has some lovely glides and runs for the fly fisher but ignore the slow deep pools at your peril. Heaviest salmon caught comes in at 31.5lbs and heaviest sea trout at 14lb.

Despite the restrictions caused by Covid in 2020, members still managed to catch over 300 migratory fish with a release rate above 95%.
All our waters are controlled by our excellent team of bailiffs who are very willing to offer advice and assistance to new members.

To join us please complete and send in your application form and you will receive a courtesy phone call from a committee member or if you have any questions then simply contact us through our website.
